Milagro is proud to present the latest addition to our roster: Ben Wilkins.
Ben’s debut album drops on October 18th 2011.
Helped by his natural charms and melodic senses, Ben Wilkins seems to be coming straight out of the 70's. “What inspires me about that era is the way music was produced. There was something special about the grooves, the distinctive sounds of the live drums and entire bands playing live in the studio. We tried to achieve the same natural atmosphere while recording; I wanted the songs to breath.”
McGill University graduate in classical trumpet, he also graduated from Shanghai Conservatory and Beijing's University of Language and Culture. Ben possesses a strong sense of melody and daringness in his writing. On top of being his own co-producer with Pascal Shefteshy (of Pierre Marchand's studio), he wrote the string and brass musical lines for "The Garden", Bran Van 3000's fourth album.
